Verstegen Grabs started in 1951 when Jan Verstegen took over a small forge in the village Vreeswijk and started building small buckets and grabs for the local market. After his death, his son Gerrit took over and continued with the same vision: to build reliable, durable grabs that operators could trust.

Seventy-five years later, that same spirit still guides us. From our modern facilities in Nieuwegein, our grabs now serve ports in more than 115 countries around the world – a growth built not on shortcuts, but on dedication, long-term thinking, and respect for the craft.

As we mark this milestone, we remain grateful for our history, proud of our people, and deeply thankful for the loyal customers who have trusted our grabs for generations.
